Have you ever prayed outside of an abortion clinic or done sidewalk counseling?

We have not had a QOD in AGES so thought I'd do one that will fit in with 40 Days for Life.

Have any of you ever prayed at an abortion clinic or done sidewalk counseling? What were your experiences?

We have prayed at our local abortion clinic in the evenings, though I've never done counseling. I'm not sure I would be up to it - I would be terrified that I didn't say the right thing to stop an abortion and miss an opportunity to save a life.

I wish we did more visits to the clinic - we just don't ever seem to get home early enough to even make a decent dinner most of the time, then collapse in bed and do it all over again. Every week I keep saying we need to do it and something takes over our day and sucks up the time before we know it.

So - any experiences you care to share?

I think the closest I have come is talking a friend into adoption when she asked me to borrow the money for an abortion. It was a very difficult choice considering that she had three children to begin with. (But really, how much more difficult would it be to abort a child than to give them up if you already had the experience of being a mother?)

Heather - that is a wonderful thing you did!! You saved that child's life!!

You should consider sidewalk counseling - sounds like you are more than half way there!
